Halloween is just around the corner which means there’s plenty of fun ahead getting creative in the kitchen.
These Candy Corn Chia Cups are Plant Based using whole food ingredients as close to nature as possible. Nothing artificial, synthetic, or chemical anywhere near over here.
The white layer of this candy corn is from chia pudding using white chia seeds, the orange layer is from mango and orange juice, and the yellow uses pineapple and turmeric.
So let’s get started making these delicious Halloween treats.

Candy Corn Chia Cups
Makes: 4 serv Total time: 20 – 45 minutes
1 batch Chia Pudding ( use white chia seeds )
Orange Layer:
1 – 1.5 cups frozen mango
2 frozen bananas
1/2 – 3/4 cup orange juice
Yellow Layer:
1 – 1.5 cups frozen pineapple
2 frozen bananas
1 tsp turmeric
1/2 cup almond milk ( or other plant milk )
Directions:
- Start by making your Chia Pudding. Reference the recipe for Chia Pudding above. Once your chia pudding is set and ready, fill your desired cups / jars one third full of chia pudding. Set aside.
- Make the orange layer. Combine frozen mango, frozen banana, and some of the orange juice in a high speed blender. Blend until smooth adding more liquid if needed yet keeping a thick consistency. Scoop out into a bowl and keep cold in either the fridge or freezer.
- Make the yellow layer. In a clean high speed blender put the frozen pineapple and frozen banana. Add some of the almond milk ( start with a little and add more as you go to keep the consistency as thick as possible. ) Then add the turmeric to reach the desired yellow color you would like.
- Once you have both the orange and yellow layers made, grab your jars with chia pudding on the bottom and begin creating the orange layer on top of the chia pudding.
- Once the orange layer is made add your yellow layer ( if your orange and yellow layers have melted and aren’t a thick consistency anymore, before adding the yellow layer on top, place your jars with the chia and orange layers in the freezer for 15 minutes before you proceed so you can keep the layers from mixing )
- Once you have your yellow layer on top you can add optional coconut shaving and orange slice. Sprinkle the coconut shaving on top.
- To make the orange slice to go around the rim, keep the peel on the orange, slice thin slices of the orange. Then starting at the middle of the slice, cut one sliver from the middle to the edge of the orange slice – making sure to not cut all the way across. The sliver that is opened, goes around the rim edge of your glass / jar.
- That’s it!
I hope you enjoy!
