When Fall & Autumn are approaching yet its still warm outside …
This calls for Fall spices with summers cooling fruit smoothies. This smoothie bowl has a traditional banana and mango base with the addition of pumpkin puree and the all so wonderful spices of a pumpkin pie. For a little of the best of both worlds – merging pie with smoothie.
The spices in this smoothie pack a wonderful punch of wellness as well.
Turmeric – anti inflammatory
Cardamom – decongestant, increases oxygen in the blood and digestive tract
Cinnamon – anti: bacterial, fungal, inflammatory, viral. Relieves menstrual cramping.
Nutmeg – digestive aid
Pumpkin Pie Recipe
Makes 1 large smoothie, or 2 small Prep time: 10

Smoothie base:
2 cups frozen mango
2 – 3 frozen bananas
1/4 cup pumpkin puree
1/4 cup coconut cream ( liquid )
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp turmeric
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/8 tsp cardamom
water or plant milk till desired consistency
Topping:
coconut shreds
pistachios
cinnamon
Directions:
- Place all ingredients except for toppings into a high speed blender
- Add a small amount of water
- Turn blender on to medium and blend.
- Blend until smooth
- Scoop into your favorite bowl and add desired toppings
- Enjoy!
